Mouve
My MFA thesis project at ArtCenter College of Design explores a fresh perspective on visualizing music. While many approaches combine complex soundtracks into a single visual piece, I sought a breakthrough in the relationship between different soundtracks and visual effects. Deconstructing and visualizing music became the solution I envisioned. By presenting distinct soundtracks separately, I aimed to offer a deeper understanding of elements such as rhythm and instruments within a music composition.
My brand, Mouve, is designed to empower independent musicians with a versatile toolbox featuring dynamic and multi-layered visual language to enhance their music branding. This toolbox functions as a system, leveraging typography and motion graphics to explore the connections and boundaries between visual and auditory sensations. Due to its inherent logic, the system is highly customizable. Customers can use it to experiment with new forms of music experiences, facilitate music understanding for children through visual elements, and even assist individuals with hearing impairments in enhancing their auditory perception.
